What is the point of Yahoo! answers? Why should I continue?

The "rewards" are just the ability to spend more time doing the same thing.  The answers are highly unreliable and often off the wall (though that can be fun, especially if you can squeeze in a subtle joke).

Hard questions do not get good or thoughtful answers here.  They fly by too fast on the main page too.  And as a social networking site, this place stinks.

Is there any reason to come back here again?

I am an engineer and a poet, and I come back because I am unemployed and no one is buying my poems right now. It is a reality check and a finger on the pulse of "universal cosmic consciousness" at any given moment (and I found out they asked Barney Fife to lip sing because he could not carry a tune in a bucket).

    You should only stick to the categorys that you know well. It is not a social networking site. People do get the answers that they need. Alot of people have come to think this site is a joke and only for fun.

    You come on here to practice and then go on Google answers where people pay you for answering their questions. An Iranian scientist wants to know how to enrich plutonium? Any ideas? What’s a Fatwa anyway?
