Do squeeze pages actually work?
23.February, 2009
I found a website that offers free squeeze page templates.
http://www.getacustomwebsite.com but I want to know if anyone else is having any success with these or not. Thanks.
A perfect example of a squeeze page is the link that you have given. This site is designed to collect a small amount of information from you in exchange for a giveaway or discounted product. The idea is that later they will send you promotional emails and hope that you will purchase products from them.
If you have a good niche product and take care of the people on your list, there is no reason why this can't convert many sales that would otherwise be lost on a regular website. This is very effective for targeted marketing.
The website that you provided is offering these templates for free. You will probably get a couple of emails from the guy after signing up, but this seems risk free at this point.

I think they are referring to landing pages.
And yes landing pages do work, but I would be leary of purchasing anything from this site.
The site has 2 links in google's index
Domain Created on: 12-Feb-08
Expires on: 12-Feb-09
Typically domain names that aren't registered for more that 1 year, means something. There is a reason why google has a ranking factor that places weight on how long your domain name is registered for.
If you still feel like going with them be sure to get a list of references from them.
Landing pages have been a proven method of increasing website conversion rates. Commonly used with PPC Google Adwords. When you click an ad, it should be going to a targeted landing page.
Good luck
