Like if you have a squeeze page and you captured peoples address, they will still be receiving content from you. You can just kinda keep sending the information. Isn’t this the same as having a blog that has content except you are just getting it via e-mail. Why have a blog… I don’t get it. I hear money is in the list and I just see that a squeeze page is more beneficial. They will have everything in their face. Like an e-mail they get they will have it right in their face that you are promoting something and on the other hand with a blog, they have to look for that spot because of all distractions.

I’m just so confused… can some explain me the main goal purpose of each and what is each trying to do. I’m talking about a blog and a squeeze page where you get e-mails with content. Whats their take on what they’re trying to do.

Also if you have an optin form in your blog to get a free report or something, what else woulc you be sending them besides something to sell. If you are going to send content too, but why would you do that since all the content is on your blog. Can someone fix this confusion for me too.

Providing useful content along with a squeeze or sales page is I believe, mainly to satisfy search engines’ insistence that a site be a public service, even if using adwords PPC, a bare bones squeeze page may rate a low quality score if it lacks text matching the ad wording and certain minimal accommodation, like privacy policy, contact links and at least one off page link.

is there a good way to build a list and use a blog at the same time?
or is that just overcomplicating things?

Sure, on your blog offer something extra that is only available to email subscribers. Try to make it something that will be updated regularly to encourage them to stay subscribed instead of signing up to receive the extra and then unscubscribing right away.

It depends on your budget. A few years back I used only Tech smith and
some free photos and made the a video squeeze page. But realized quite
fast that I was no professional in the design market for squeeze pages :).

Not sure if you heard of extreme web graphics? Anyway David who runs it
charge some crazy sums. Or actually he do fantastic pages that do sell. But
a few thousands is not for normal marketers can afford.

However he and Ken Walker recently launched a service where they provide
really nice looking video squeeze pages and they give you 5 of them every
month and it sure works well. I just started to use it but they are like 100
times better then I ever can make.

What is so powerful with their service is they also provide a follow-up system
for each product. So I found out that this was totally for me. Nice pages, squeeze
videos and a follow up system and the price is like pennies compared to what you
