I have two article that I wrote a few months back that explains what you should do when creating a landing page. You can read it here if you like.

http://www.semspot.com/2007/08/22/10-essential-landing-page-tips-to-follow/

I also write another article that goes into detail as to what images you should and should not use when you use people on your landing page(s). You can read that here as well.

Between these two, you should gain some great ideas to use to optimize your landing pages you create for any PPC campaign.

the right and left margins are gigantic.
nothing in the view menu seems to make a difference.

it could be the page design itself… other pages displays well in IE but not on firefox.

I am somewhat new to affiliate marketing and I am not sure if I need a landing/squeeze page when I am using ppc. I am not interested in building a list just yet.

It all depends on what your end goal is in terms of your marketing efforts.

A landing page is that extra piece of real estate that you could use to help you get the sale.
If you need more space to persuade a potential customer to make a sale, use landing pages.

Ive made sales doing straight links & landing pages.

When you are ready to collect names and addresses for a list, a landing page is a great place to put up a subscription form.

Squeeze Page Templates - Are these still worth using?

This collection of everyones templates seems very god value for money at less than $7. Is this still a good way of building a mailing list?

Hi,

I would not use these, they do not follow the basic guidelines for effective squeeze pages.

Make your own squeeze page, the less graphics the better.

A squeeze page can be created in many diffferent ways but the most important element is not to over use graphics, if any at all.

A squeeze page has only one purpose, to get visitors to optin to your mailing list.

In order to achieve that the page has to be as clear as possible, without any distractions in the form of fancy graphics and or colors.

Put up a catchy header and subheader, then a little text to entice your visitors to signup.

Offer a free bonus and make it a limited time offer to create urgency.

Also important is to make sure you get all this information, including the signup form "above the fold". People should not have to scroll down on a squeeze page. Put it all in eyes view.

Last but not least make sure you add a privacy and legal disclaimer to create trust.

Hope this helps.

At your service.

Squeeze Pages URL Please?

26.February, 2009

Try these - the second one has a lot of good links.

I have a page which need to indicate a lot of specifications related to the product I'm selling. Should I squeeze everything in a web page? or should I create links to open a new window for the information?

It depends on what will best serve your customers' needs. If your typical customer is going to want see all those specifications, and the information is not easily subdivided, then put it in one big page. But if most customers are going to want to see some subset of the data, consider creating multiple pages, suitably organized and referenced, or using a database application to create pages tailored to customer queries.

Well, you could make a squeeze page yourself on any free hosting, but it wouldn’t look as professional as an actual domain name. Some people use blogger or wordpress to create a landing page for their product or newsletter.

Free lead capture pages can be made easily with the code from any free autoresponder or mailing list program. Personally, I like Getresponse. I use the professional one, but they have a free option.
